Parks and Recreation Department
The City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department operates one of the most active parks & recreation systems of its size in the Portland metro area. The Department oversees the development and management of over 620 acres of parks and natural areas. In addition, the Department manages five recreational facilities, including the Adult Community Center, Charlie S. Brown Water Sports Center, Lake Oswego Municipal Golf Course and Practice Range, Lake Oswego Indoor Tennis Center and Luscher Farm. They provide a variety of recreation, education, and human service programs focused on health and wellness. Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation also coordinates over fifty events annually that enrich the community and add to the City’s economic vitality, including the Summer of Music Concerts, Movies in the Park, Star Spangled Parade & Celebration, Christmas Tree Festival, and more.
