2023 is our 33rd year for Village Flower basket program.
The Garden Corner will hang the baskets in May and take care of them, watering and feeding throughout the summer. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of the donors, both individual and businesses, who make it possible for the beautiful display to continue year after year.
History
In 1990, Doug Oliphant, past Chamber president and a group of volunteers, brought the Village Flower Basket program to Lake Oswego. A volunteer committee has raised funds and hung flower baskets since then.
Jonn Karsseboom, owner of The Garden Corner, has partnered with the Chamber for all 33 years of the program. He plants the baskets months in advance of the May hanging. His team champions the ongoing maintenance through the summer to keep the baskets blooming, healthy and lively. If that wasn’t enough, Jonn stepped in during the pandemic and generously offered his crew to hang the baskets.
This program, sponsored by the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, is funded by contributions through the LO Chamber Foundation.
You can help support the flower baskets with a contribution online, by a phone call to 503-636-3634, or send a check to the LO Chamber Foundation, PO Box 368, Lake Oswego, OR 97034.
