2024 is our 34th year for the Village Flower basket program! This Lake Oswego program has received the highest honor of being selected for the prestigious National “America In Bloom” award. The Garden Corner hangs the baskets in May and takes care of them, watering and feeding throughout the summer to keep them beautiful for public enjoyment. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of the donors, both individuals and businesses, who make it possible for this gorgeous display to continue year after year. Help us ensure that flower baskets return year after year. Click “Donate” above or see instructions and Donor Club levels below and make your tax-deductible donation today!
This program, sponsored by the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, is funded by tax-deductible contributions made to the LO Chamber Foundation. Individuals, families and businesses – who also benefit from this important city-wide beautification project – are strongly encouraged to support the Village Flower Basket program. You can help support the flower baskets with a contribution online (click on “Donate” above or below), by using a credit or debit card in a phone call to 503-636-3634, or by sending a personal or business check made payable to the LO Chamber Foundation, PO Box 368, Lake Oswego, OR 97034.
This program is solely financed by community contributions and donations are accepted year-round. These donations cover the costs of planting and hardware early in the year, and maintenance and watering throughout the summer months.

History
In 1990, Doug Oliphant, past Chamber president, and a group of volunteers brought the Village Flower Basket program to Lake Oswego. In a rousing show of community spirit typical of Lake Oswego, a volunteer committee has raised funds and coordinated the program every year since.
Jonn Karsseboom, owner of The Garden Corner, has partnered with the Chamber for all 33 years of the program. He plants the baskets months in advance of the May hanging. His team champions the ongoing maintenance through the summer to keep the baskets blooming, healthy and lively. If that wasn’t enough, Jonn stepped in during the pandemic and generously offered his crew to hang the baskets.
